IMPORTANT
It is important that the pond should be filled and allowed to settle for a
minimum of 7 days before any rocks or slabs are placed around the edge. This
will allow for any ground movement beneath the pond due to the weight of water.
Avoid siting the pond in areas prone to high water tables and flooding
Do not empty a pond when the ground is waterlogged - when removing water ensure
it is drained well away from the pond location. |

Siting any ponds in areas
prone to water logging or where there is a high water table must be
avoided due to the risk of damage.
This can be avoided by having a fully or partially raised pond.
Partially raised ponds must not be emptied if the ground is saturated
with water. |
